Malahat Fire Rescue is a proud 100% volunteer fire department serving residents of the Malahat within the Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) on Vancouver Island, BC. Our members respond to a wide range of emergencies, including fires, medical incidents, motor vehicle accidents, and more.
Our District
The Malahat Fire Protection District covers a rugged area within the Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) on southern Vancouver Island. It includes steep terrain, dense forests, and rocky outcrops, with the Trans- Canada Highway linking Victoria to the Cowichan Valley. This vital corridor for travelers and outdoor enthusiasts faces challenges such as wildfires, steep roads, and remote properties.
